The MonkeyRun concept all began in 2001 when Fergus McIver got into Monkey Bikes. He was looking for a UK based web site but found there wasn't one so decided to make his own. He started the original Forum in January 2002 and built a web site in May of the same year. Interest snowballed and thanks to the relentless support of like minded citizens MonkeyRun had a thriving community in little time.
8 years on, the responsibilities of running MonkeyRun were handed to Callum Ashton and in January 2010 he launched the new Forum and later this fresh new website.
Collectively we are a decent bunch of boys and girls out for a laugh on two (small) wheels in the UK. Being web based only and with virtually no outgoings there is no membership fee for using MonkeyRun and with no membership fee, we're not a club; more a fellowship; a gaggle of Monkeys
