It,s a nippy engine, but how long it lasts is anyones guess. :o
A few people have had same issues with this model (170cc). The lesser cc engines seem to last a bit longer. Like anything chinese it,s "pot luck" with quality.
I,ve got a Lifan 150, which has been a bargain for the money (£250)....3 years with no probs, then all of a sudden crank sheared on flywheel side. Got a new crank £38 from Germany. 8-)
Some people have had less than a week on some of their engines.

Ben

Hi Ben
The motor has a seconary clutch, manual gearbox. Its also fitted with a inner rota, most folks keep this and use a battery for the lights but you could fit a lighting coil if you wanted.
Originally MBUK where selling them for £2300 but knocked the last ones out for £1700.

I'm looking for £1200.

I also have a VM26 and manifold/oil cooler if interested.

Can supply pics if you are interested.

Don't get carried away with HP figures, some of these supposed 20+hp wouldn't pull a boy scout off your granny and a lot can't handle the power through Chinese cheese clutches and gearboxes. KSR 143se are supposed to be 17hp and will pull 85mph, 178s slightly more. Unless you get some aerodynamics sorted you won't be getting a lot more out of a monkeybike :( We'll keep trying though.

Hello pal,I'm currently looking an engine for a dax. I have run a 125 Honda engine in the past and gear change, reliability and finding neutral are great, but bang for buck I now run a 150cc lifan which really chugs along. Feels good, long may it continue. I'm looking @ maybe another lifan or yx 125/140ish for this dax between £200-£300 which I feel is good value for an occasional use bike.
Good luck partner

Ooracing products rock!

Ive got a 14hp 140 and its very very impressive!

Get a decent oil cooler on it and it will go all day!
